Buried interface modulation via PEDOT:PSS ionic exchange for the Sn-Pb mixed perovskite based solar cells

To increase the efficiency of Sn-Pb mixed perovskite solar cells, understanding the interfaces between the light-absorbing layer and the hole transport layer is crucial. The heterogeneity in PEDOT used in the hole transport layer causes defects at the interface, which are addressed by introducing an ionic exchange process with methylammonium iodide (MAI) and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). This method has improved the interface properties and enhanced device performance, achieving efficiencies of 21.3% in Sn-Pb mixed perovskite solar cells and 23.5% in all-perovskite tandem devices, along with improved stability.
