This study introduces high-frequency supercapacitors(SCs) using electrode materials derived from metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). The carbonization of selected MOFs produces highly conductive carbons with hierarchical pore structures, offering significant advantages as electrode materials for ultrafast SC applications. As a result, the fabricated MOF-derived carbon (MDC) SCs demonstrate notable areal and volumetric capacitances, alongside rapid response speeds. Importantly, this performance surpasses that of state-of-the-art high-frequency SCs based on carbon materials. These findings highlight the potential of MDCs as electrode materials for ultrafast SCs, with implications for the miniaturization of electronic devices.
