※2020년 동계 국제공학인턴쉽 관련 문의가 많이 들어온 관계로, 총체적으로 정리하여 전달드립니다.
1. 대상
ㄱ. 방학 때 본국에 돌아가(혹은 타국에 나가) 인턴십에 참여할 계획이 있는 외국인 학생
혹은
ㄴ. 방학 때 해외에서 인턴십을 진행할 계획이 있는 내국인 학생
*재정적인 지원은 없음
*4학기 이상 이수한 공과대학 재학생이어야 하며 졸업예정자는 불가능(최소 1학기 이상 남아있어야 함)
2.참여 방법
ㄱ. 외부기관과 연계하여 진행되는 프로그램 (ex: 아람코나 adnoc등 해외 장학생이나 KIST프로그램 등 외부 프로그램에 참여)
혹은
ㄴ. 겨울계절학기에 학생 개인이 해외 인턴십 일자리를 찾아 지원하고, 합격한 후 본 인턴십에 지원할 경우 (합격 여부가 나중에 날 수 있으니 계획이 있는 단계에서부터 행정실에 요청)
※ㄱ혹은 ㄴ에 해당하는 학생은, 11월 10일(화)까지 becourage14@korea.ac.kr로 첨부파일4. [학생] 국제공학인턴쉽 계획서를 보내주십시오
3.학점 인정
ㄱ.국제공학인턴쉽 과목으로 기간에 따라 인정 : 계절학기수업(11월 20일~25일)신청 필수
(국제공학인턴쉽1 (6주 이상: 3학점) 만 방학때 개설되며
국제공학인턴쉽2(12주 이상: 6학점), 국제공학인턴쉽3 (16주 이상: 9학점)은 정규학기에 개설 – 이에 대해서는 방학 때에 문의 필요)
*동계 계절학기 인턴쉽 학점인정을 받기 위해서는 6주 이상 진행해야 함
*현장실습 교과목은 학생당 최대 12학점만 인정 가능함.
ㄴ.학생의 보고서 및 참여 기업 실무연수 담당자가 출석, 근무태도, 업무 능력등을 개인 보고서로 평가(Pass, Fail), 담당 교수의 1차례 원격방문지도 포함

2020 Winter International Engineering Internships Guide
1. Who can apply
A. An international student who is planning to return to one’s home country (or another country) and undertake an internship from a company abroad during the winter vacation,
OR
B. A Korean student who is planning to undertake an internship from a company abroad during the winter vacation.
*Only enrolled KUCE students who have completed more than 4 semesters can apply. (And at least one semester must remain before graduation)
*Please note that KUCE will not provide financial support.
2. How to apply
A. Currently undertaking a program conducted in collaboration with external agencies (eg. foreign scholarship students in Aramco or Adnoc / external programs such as KIST program),
OR
B. The student will need to find and apply for an internship overseas, and be accepted into the program at one’s own discretion.
If you plan to participate(A OR B), you are required to send an attached file 4. [Student] Plan_International Engineering Internship Program to the administrative officer the administrative officer (becourage14@korea.ac.kr) by 10 November 2020.
3. How to receive academic credits
A. Each student will need to apply for the “International Engineering Internship1” course during the winter semester application period (20 to 25 November 2020).
*More than 6-week internship: 3 credits
(International Engineering Internship1-Only Vacation)
cf. More than 12-week internship: 6 credits
(International Engineering Internship2-Only Regular semester)
More than 16-week internship: 9 credits
(International Engineering Internship3-Only Regular semester)
*Students can not get over 12credits by all internship courses.
B. The assessment (pass/fail) will be based on 1) a report written by the student, and 2) a report written by the person in charge of internship program at the participating company, on student attendance, work performance and attitude. Additionally, the professor in charge will hold a meeting with the company, either in person or online, to mentor the student and monitor progress.
